The California Institute of Advanced Management ( a California non-profit) began offering its unique MBA (licensed by the State of California through the Bureau of Private Post-secondary Education) in the San Gabriel Valley on July 14, 2012 and has already graduated its first cohort of students. Inspired by the philosophy of Peter Drucker, “the father of Modern Management,” the 11 month, low-tuition program ($15000 all-inclusive cost for the entire program) aims to be not only the best value MBA but the best MBA. Period. Student learning and leadership development is the heart of the project-based curriculum which anchors theory in consulting that assists local businesses, connects students to potential employers, and embodies the signature CIAM learning strategy, IATEP, (Immediately Applied Theory for Enhanced Performance). In-class combined with on-line sessions provide scheduling flexibility for working students with busy lives. Technology brings guest professors into the CIAM classroom from Harvard, Cornell, UC Berkeley, where they can interact live with students, complementing the visiting top executives that visit each class. Students graduating from CIAM have more than new letters after their names, they have a portfolio of real accomplishments, a network of important contacts, and no big college loans to drag their earnings down for a decade or more. And now, corporations and organizations can provide their employees with the same learning advantages through packages tailored to the different needs of different enterprises.
